Most likely will not happen on my current layout without a lot of reconfiguring, however I want to build it into the future layout if I tear everything apart and start from scratch. I think it's a fun feature and would make for an interesting detail.

I've seen this type of system mostly in smaller towns and where the street is going up / down hill. Sure makes you watch your step ! I took a good look at them on my last trip. Most of the entries are steel plates. It would go great with some of the scenes you've done. One way I could imagine modeling this would be with styrene channel.
