MECHS CRASH THROUGH MY LAYOUT!

:)

Ah....I love mechs. GUNDAM has been a fave of mine for ages. I'm glad I kept my 1/144 scale Gundam toys! It made today's election and dental visit madness a bit less....shite. hehehe

500 Type EVA Shinkansen in N scale

More news about the N scale version of the 500 Type EVA Shinkansen...and not all of it good.
My friend Rios passed along the site that spoke about the N guage version and it looks grand. However, I guess it's a limited run and going for 30,000 yen (about $273) at the Kato event only. I'm sure there will be other avenues for getting one, but it's going to mean a rather steep price, I think. We'll see.   http://katomodels.wix.com/500eva

Dern cool looking, however!    More coolness here: http://www.500type-eva.jp/

In other EVA train news, there's another nifty little items I found on HOBBY SEARCH.
B Train Shorty EVANGELION:1.0 Shiki880 (B2) Heavy Capacity Flatcar (with 275kV Supervoltage Transformer)   http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10204383

Pretty cool.  It's obviously more fantasy than real, but I think it might be a fun little addition in the background somewhere. :)

Thunderbird 2 in N scale

Oh no.....

THUNDERBIRD 2 in 1/144 scale!!!!!   I...I think I need to purchase it.....

Think about the photo potential on my layout! :)

It's put out in magazine issue form. There are 80 issues - each with a piece of the kit.  Each issue is about $4.25, so to do the whole kit, it would be about $340! Yowch! hehehehe  PLUS shipping!

OH WAIT! I was wrong. Most of the mags are around $16 bringing the total up to around $1280! Yikes. The saving grace is that you're buying in $16 to $20 pieces.

Hobby Link Japan has them as of the time of this posting -

[Miniatuart] Limited Edition `My Neighbor Totoro` Satsuki & Mays House

So dern cute.

This little N scale paper house kit from MINIATURART is awesome. Sadly, I don't think I have a spot for it on my layout and my current, additional module projects involve robots and half destroyed buildings in the city in HO scale! :)

Mobile Suit sightings in Soyokaze and Shizuka

I used to be WAY into anime. Now I dabble, but I still have many, many anime toys and figures from back in the day when I was buying for retail therapy. :::grin:::  I dropped a lot of coin on these items. I have boxes and boxes packed with care.

Well, I was looking over my Instagram follows and saw a few posts from a guy who goes by HEATH13. He did some great Godzilla shots with his N scale items. I thought it was time to do another Gundam shoot with mine.

The scale is close with the Gundam MS figures I had. I think they run around 1/144, which is pretty close. So I broke them out and took some quick shots between meetings and production time in the old home office and some of them turned out pretty good. When I really get things built out, I'll do another series of shots. Of course, I'll end up doing some one offs during meetings where my presence wasn't REALLY needed, I'm sure. :)

I'm not going to keep the anime presence on my layout - I still want to keep things "real" in feel. But, they'll pop up from time to time for photo shoots.

ZAKU!

Z'GOK

The wrong scale, but still fun. The EZ-8s are still my faves.

The Guncannon is always a side liner, but I still think they are kinda cool. Especially some of the new designs.
